The Bridle Path is is the most affluent neighbourhood in all of Canada by household income, as well as property values.  It is often referred to as "Millionaires' Row" because of the celebrities that own homes here, including Celine Dion and Prince!  The 10 largest homes in Toronto are in the Bridle Path area, each with more than 25,000 sq. ft. of living spaced and assessed at more than $10 million.

 

The Bridle Path Location

Although "The Bridle Path" is in fact the name of a road in the area, the term generally applies to the surrounding neighbourhood as a whole. The community is generally bounded by The Bridle Path on the north, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on the south, Bayview Avenue on the west and Wilket Creek on the east.

 

The Bridle Path Homes

The Bridle Path originated as an ultra exclusive neighbourhood in the early 1930's. The spectacular homes in the Bridle Path  were mostly built from the 1930's to the 1960's in every style from Georgian, Colonial, Greek and Tudor Revival, Italianate and Neo Gothic to California bungalows and futuristic modernist houses on huge, two to four acre lot sizes.
